Smith & Boucher Holds Annual Golf Tournament
The summer of 2008 at Smith & Boucher has been both busy and exciting. We have closed out some great projects and have won new jobs that in the beginning of design stages. As all of our employees work extremely hard throughout the year, we decided to take an afternoon off to hold our annual Smith & Boucher Golf Scramble and celebrate the closing of summer.

Seventeen employees participated in the tournament, held on August 21 at Iron Horse Golf Club in Overland Park, Kansas. Teams were divided by skill level, with each experienced player paired up with a novice golfer. Participants were also able to compete for prizes in several individual challenges, such as longest drive, closest shot to the pin and longest putt.

At the end of a fun day filled with pars, bogies, some missed putts, beers and laughter, there could only be one winning team. Mechanical engineer Matt Heinrich and his partner, office manager Yashicka Rose, took home the top prize and the coveted travelling trophy. Brad Marks, vice president, won the longest drive challenge, while mechanical engineer Brent Felten won for being closest to the pin. Rookie golfer and mechanical engineer Nick Caton won the longest putt challenge.
