Mechanical Engineer Competes in Redman Triathlon

At Smith & Boucher, our engineers strive for design excellence on all of our projects.  Matt Pellman, PE, one of our talented mechanical designers, is striving for extreme excellence outside of the office as well.  Matt is an accomplished marathoner, and will participate in the 2009 Redman Triathlon, a race that includes a 2.4 mile swim, 112 mile bike ride, and 26.2 mile run.

Later this year, Matt plans to run in his first Redman Triathlon, an iron distance race.  He began his training on the first week of January and has trained for up to 15 hours per week throughout the year. Matt's total time spent training will be around 550 hours for the year.

The Redman will be held on September 19, 2009 in Oklahoma City.  We're happy to cheer on Matt as he completes this awesome accomplishment!
